30TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY

"20/20 @ 30"
The 30th Anniversary celebration of UP Baguio Beta
Sigma has been conceptualized a year and a half ago when we
celebrated the foundation day of our beloved fraternity.
I would like to call on everyone to support and rally behind the
leadership of GP Val Guzman in making this affair not only an
example to the resident and alumni brothers but also to the
community and society as well. This is highly relevant at this time
since the existence of fraternities is being questioned. Let us make
this activity a legacy to our younger generations so that we may
show them “ALL THAT IS GOOD AND NOBLE IN US."
Our planned activities have all the right ingredients. We are able
to create awareness of our existence, show our concern for the
environment and the campus where we came from, and able to establish
social relevance with our 20 / 20 @ 30 program all under a rather
FESTIVE CELEBRATION….
I appeal to all Beta Sigmans: Let us rekindle that passion and
desire to make our beloved BETA SIGMA. Let us make everyone in UP
Baguio envy us once again. Let us show them how it is to be a
BETA SIGMAN!!!! LET OUR PRESENCE BE FELT…

Traditional Mass with special offering for our departed Brods

Unveiling of the mural for the new Social Science Building. The Beta
Sigma Fraternity will commission national artist Darnay Demetillo
for the painting with the face of Malmon hidden somewhere in the
painting.

October 4, 2007

Assembly at Petron Station North Luzon Expressway.
9:00 am
Start of convoy from Manila to Baguio by UP Baguio Alumni Beta
Sigmans. Vehicles will carry flags and banners of the Beta Sigma
Fraternity. We invite other brothers to join the convoy.
3:30 pm
Unveiling of a Beta Sigma Fraternity marker along Kennon Road (Tuba
area).
4:00 pm
ETA UP Baguio. Welcome party arranged by resident brothers, sisters,
and LCs.
4:30 pm
Drawing of raffle winners sponsored by the chapter. Major and
consolation prizes for the winners. Open to all students, guests,
faculty, and non-academic personnel of UP Baguio.
8:00 pm
Induction program of the UP Baguio Beta Sigma Fraternity Ladies
Corps, jug-a-lug and get-together party.
October 5,2007
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
- Launching of the "Beta Sigma 20/20 Loan Fund" for students. 20/20
signifies perfect vision.
- Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement with UP Baguio Faculty
Association who will manage the fund.
- Handover of the initial P50,000:- 20/20 fund cheque.
- Recognition award with gift basket to two outstanding members of
the UP Baguio non-academic personnel.
- Ribbon cutting on the newly rehabilitated school pond.
- Flag retreat.
- Fireworks display.
